Blue not blue

Okay I have 2 mini colonies that I got a few months back that were nice baby blue...now they are silver in color....what is the main cause of lose of color?

what's your lighting scheme? What was the lighting scheme from the place you bought it from? Previous pics when you first got them to what they are now?

I'd put them in lower light for the time being...

My guess you are using LED, have same issue, too much light

Sorry for late reply.. drtrash...that's exactly right. I'm going to stick them in some shadows in the new build. Hope they color up better

I would place them slightly shaded but not direct light. Remember these animals DO need light to survive and for food.

Ya I know that much. I kinda figured when I got them that they were more of a deeper water kind that didn't want all that light hitting them. I got a perfect spot for them in the next tank but for now they are just going to have to deal with it for a couple more weeks
