Blue spot dwarf puffer

Today my friends puffer was found dried up on the floor any ideas why he would jump I wouldn't think puffers are prone to jump

Very odd I have never heard of a puffer jumping and unless his tank has like 1'' from the water to the top of the glass I would wonder if the puffer is eve capable of a jump. Then again once my firefish jumped through an about 1cm gap between my lid and the top of the glass so i guess I will never dobut fish jumping abilities again.

He does keep his water pretty much to the top should he lower the water level?
