I am wanting to introduce a Blue Spot Jaw to my 120gal, I have kept them before with great success, but have a concern. Can this burrowing fish, be kept with a Spiny Blue Lobster? I realize everyone has an opinion, and it is what it is, an opinion only as to the behavior of the lobster on their "lights out night stalking activities" But, this is a question I could use some advise on, as of course, we all know the cost of a Blue Spot Jaw, and I NEVER procure any livestock, just to "have it" I do not believe in the needless waste of innocent life that most have no care about. I do not want to condemn any fish to a needless death. I realize, anything you put in your aquarium has a margin for failure, weather it be due to water conditions, other tank inhabitants...etc...etc.
There could be dozens of possible scenarios, and I presume to know, none of them...lol Has anyone had success with keeping this fish with a large invert like a lobster? My blue spiny has not attacked any other sleeping fish at night...YET....and I have witnessed no aggressive behavior from him, other than my small green watchman goby, who lies motionless on the bedding at night, and simply was in his path of travel...he did attempt to grab him possibly thinking he was dead and a free meal. I know the Blue Spot burrows and ultimately, could the lobster dig him out?
I guess if I had to choose, I would safely
remove the lobster and "re home" him because the blue spot would be a wonderful addition to this tank, specifically.
Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated
