Blue spot jawfish determined to jump

I have a blue spot jawfish in my 90 gallon, been in the tank for a week. Has been doing very well so far. He has made 6 burrows, yes I said 6, and goes between them. The past few minutes he has left his burrow and keep trying to jump out. I gave a screen top, I had to tape it down to be sure there were no cracks. How can I make him more comfortable so he calms down? He has a bunch of rubble to work with. All other fish are fine as are the corals. Temp is at 75. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

My big one has never shown any intent to jump. He rather builds burrows.
The smaller one sometimes seems to look for more space, but so far I've never seen him jump either.

Fish never jump without reason.
In general fish jump if they feel confined or want to get away from something and up is the only way they have left.
For some fish up is the default flight direction when being chased by predators or agressors.
Some fish jump during their spawning dance (broadcast spawners, especially wrasses), if the tank is not tall enough.
Being startled (lights turning suddenly off) is another common cause.
Something they don't like in the water (bad water quality, toxins, temperature too high) also may fish cause to jump.

I would try to figure out what is bothering him and try to eliminate that.
Are there any other fish that may bothering him?

I can't find anyone that is bothering him. Sometimes he looks at the clowns funny because they swim past his burrows but that's about it. Tankmates are pair of perculas, Midas blenny, tail spot blenny, green chromis. He is back in his burrow now after he tried to find a way out and couldn't find one. Parameters are good, nitrates are 2, alk 11, cal 420, mag 1375, temp 75.

Keep in mind that these guys live on sand areas where not much other fish roam around and they are just among themselves. These guys are very observant and always alert.
A pair of percula swimming by every few minutes may be enough to make him feel uncomfortable.
Another thing with these guys is that they are actually very social fish. They don't like others of their species too close but they want to be in a group with mates in sight.
He may be looking for a more quiet place and some mates.

After his reaction to the last jawfish, I'm very hesitant to try another because I really can't tell the difference between the sexes and I can't take a gamble on a $120 fish that o don't have an extra tank to put it in if they don't work out. I got a bubble tip this weekend, I know it's not the natural host of perculas but I wanted to see if I can keep that alive before I jump to a carpet or magnifica. He has settled back down so hopefully he gets more comfortable

This guy was so comfortable in the tank he always hung out outside of his hole, even when co-workers would come into my office. But every once in a while he would go ballistic. After one weekend I found him in the overflow. The tank he was in had glass tops. I unfortunately lost him a year ago. His replacement doesn't hang out but has never gone ballistic and is content to stay with one burrow

I'm really
Hoping mine gets that way! Yesterday he was behind the second island all day. But this morning he is back in the main island with his 6 burrows. We will see I suppose!

My jawfish keeps playing in my torch! In really worried, is this normal? He keeps sitting on top of it like the picture above with the gsp

I have had them with frogspawn and they never touched them. Sometimes fish do the unusual

Yeah but don't torch corals sting almost like an anemone? He doesn't seem to be injured, still freaks me out though. All the other fish, including the clowns, avoid it

Torch are probably the worst as Euphyllia go, but not sure if they can sting a fish like another coral? I have a hybrid frogspawn that tried to sting me but I never felt anything. I just pulled the tenticle out of my finger
