Blue-spot jawfish keepers, please post

After much reading I'm going to slowly drop the tank to 74/75 an see what happens. I have nothing to loose at this point.

People who have kept them for over a year- I wonder what temp their tank was at...???

I'm between 77 and 78 degrees.
I just don't get how they go from great at LFS, great for a little over a week to all of a sudden crash and burn.

Every time he looks out from in-between the rock it gives me hope...like he is now.

Lets see if he make another night.... ::sigh::

How long did yours survive once you started noticing signs?
I agree... it's very strange how healthy they can look and act one day, and then take a turn for the worse the next. It gives a false sense that maybe "this one" will be the exception.

I started noticing minor signs several weeks before he died. Once he really started to go downhill, he hung on for only a few days.

Good luck with your guy, and let us know if dropping the water temperature helped at all!

I've only had mine for a month but he's already made a friend. :) So maybe it will detour him from jumping.

Sorry for the Bad picture.

Beautiful! :)

Where did you get him from? LFS or did you order online?
If my little guy doesn't make it I'd really like to try another BSJ or even a different species of Jawfish.

Over one year in my tank. Healthy and eats well.
