No.

Make sure your rocks are stable, they will dig everywhere unless you "pre" make a burrow for it. good luck! Expect your aquascape to be doomed! lol

The Bottom is sturdy I put a couple of big rocks as the base then stacked the others on top..... so he shouldnt do too much damage.. hopefully lol

If you have the big rocks resting on the bottom of the tank you'll be fine but if its on 1-2inch of sand your doomed! it will tilt over causing all the rocks to fall. lol I have fixed mines 5times... Its gravy now!

Grrravy. I got a great deal on a BSJF locally, and I've wanted one for about 2 years now, so I'm going to take the plunge. Wish me luck.

I paid 79.99, but bought over $100 total and had a $20 off $100 purchase coupon. So I say I got mine for 59.99 :)

You live you learn lol.... They are the worst... They are just angry at life!

Right. Trust me, I've had damsels before as well, "back in the day" :D

Can't fault the fish though. They need to be aggressive in nature. They look cute and are cheap, but you're right; they're mean.

Speaking of burrows, does anyone use pvc piping to make an artificial cave? I figure this will make them more comfortable, but I'm not sure about water circulation in there.

Ive seen post of people doing it. I mean it works but there is not much flow going through it. Its not a bad idea..

I bet there would be some water movement due to the fish getting in and out if the cave but not a lot overall.

My question here would be how many people bought them and then had them die from BSJ disease?

When I finally got mine it was not the cost I was worried about, it was getting one that someone had kept in a tank previously for a good while so I knew he was established. I have a few friends who have tried BSJ and all made it a month or so and then they died of disease.

Anyways, mine has been doing great for a few months. He is awesome!

I have my UV on 24/7 but it doesnt mean he will catch something. It is always going to be a challenge to keep the fish disease free! I mean if you maintain your temp and para to normal and other fish arent stressing it out. I dont see why "it" would do fine?
