All in a matter of weeks.

Beautiful. I was able to snag my larger female and trade her off. My smaller male was terrified of her.

Now that there's only one male vermiculate and a smaller true female, will she not likely transition? Can I add some more small females?

She most likely won't transition, but it still may happen. It should be fine to add more females.

There's no certain answer to that question. It might start tomorrow, or all three might remain female forever.

This got me looking closely, and I noticed the two larger females have a line underneath their eyes, whereas the smallest has no lines. Is this just markings that vary between individuals, or join as they grow, or a sign of the beginning of transition? Surely two wouldn't transition... I hope :/ here they are today:

All three were added to the display last night. They were up on time this morning, eating heartily, and seem to be thrilled with all the rockscape they now get to patrol. My Goby is pretty thrilled to have some friends as well :)
