well i was just checking out my tank and i see my hippo tang tring to rub his side along the rocks and sand.he doesnt have any marks none of the other fish are doing this sooo i'm not sure whats going on
blue tank got the itch or could it be more serious

got him yesterday also with 2 others from petco. petco all there tanks are connected to the same filtration.my other 2 are fine (powder brown tank a nd a alibi angel

keep a close eye on them you know the reputation that petco has with there fish and that tangs are ick magnets, do you have a qt tank?

I just coped my Pm into the forum because I was afraid I would loose it and I type soo slow!
No problem PMing me, Hope I can help. I have company tonight so I will go indepth more tonight late or tommorow.... First ALWAYS QT evryone, I am a big QTer and did not 1 time and it bit me in the a** this week. I will read your post again in a little while. !st thing is be prepared to treat all fish for whatever is causing the problem. If one has it 99.9% chance they all have it just in small amounts which can turn into plauge proportions when the conditions are right (stress, power outages....) If you think it is only ICK then hypo is the easiest to do and least harsh on the fish, if its something else you will have to do copper. 10 gallons is fine for the 1 fish but give me your total fish count, type, tank size ect... And what type filter do you run, any chance og grabbing some filter floss or something from it for bio matter? Gotta run, I will help more real late or inthe morning
