Is this bleached? Anyone have photos of happy/healthy sebae blue tips?

Does the body get brown?

I have a pair of b/w percs (i think percs not sure how to tell) that I wanna try and find a host for.

Looks a little bleached to me, though I haven't kept any. Your B/W clowns are Ocellaris clowns that come from the Darwin region of Australia. I don't know if you've already got this nem in your tank or not, but a bubble tip might be a better choice. They are as close as I've seen to a sure thing for hosting Occs. at least IME

edit - I haven't tried to keep mags though, and I've heard a lot of people say they are even better.

The couple is over 6 years old, Ive been told they are percula, and resemble EXACTLY this: http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/profiles/black-and-white-percula-clownfish/

There is zero orange face.
If percula, isnt a sebae a better choice?

Edit:

Scientific Name: Amphiprion ocellaris

Derp derp.

Ok, occys they are then.

I almost cried I LOLed so hard!

Your anemone will regrow the brown color on its own if you take good care of it. It will need bright lights, CLEAN clean water, and regular feedings. I suggest feeding thawed mysis every other day.

Yes the anemone is bleached, Heteractis crispa are often bleached when they are imported. For whatever reason, that species seems more eager to expell the zooxanthellae. Also, unfortunately that species is most likely to be dyed. In any event, the anemone looks to be healthy otherwise. Often times, H. crispa will recover their zooxanthellae and do fine as long as the anemone is in otherwise good condition (e.g., no tears, no bacterial infections), and you can provide it with excellent water conditions and appropriate light.

As far as your ocellaris being hosted by H. crispa, it's a crap shoot. H. crispa is not a natural host for ocellaris, but in captivity it happens.

And yes, mags are a sure shot with ocellaris, as they are a favored natural host in the wild. BTAs are not a natural host and are definitely not a sure thing as far as hosting ocellaris, although ocellaris often will take to BTAs in time in aquariums. Unfortunately, mags have a more dismal survival rate than H. crispa. They are notoriously poor shippers. They aren't so inclined to lose their zooxanthellae (bleach) as H. crispa, but the shipping process indeed takes a toll on them.

Hard to say for certain your clowns will take to it, but it is pretty common for most clowns to accept an unnatural host nem.
Yes, that is bleached no doubt, hopefully it regains natural color w/ health, and should be beige w/ purple tips.
