Blue Tip Staghorn (show me YOUR's) ..

Just picked up my first SPS coral last night... a blue tip staghorn. It's placed under a 150w HQI 20k bulb on my 20g tank. I hope to succeed with the whole SPS thing.. its sweet!!

Show me your pics of your blue tip staghorns! Maybe give me an idea of care levels, etc... and the different color variations.

Fluoresces green under VHO's.

Care-water when thristy. This one in particular is about as hardy as they come.

Here's one It's a really hairy robusta. I've got a super blue tipped stag as well but i can't get a good shot of it to save my life...

I have one that looks just like gflat's and it's definitely a tough coral! It's in my tank at work and some days I don't make it in quick enough to do the daily top-off and it's starting to grow out of the water! Hasn't hurt it a bit to have the tips exposed (not that I'd recommend it), but I do need to get it fragged or move it down a bit lower.

The tips on the one I posted will actually flatten out as it grows to the surface of the water. Interesting rippled flat blue tips...

Here is mine. Its been really easy to care for. The things grows like crazy. I'd say medium light and medium flow.

Yeah, it's starting to take on a table-ish growth, it's one of my favorites.
