Blue velvet nudibrachs

Anyone successfully raise these? I had success with lettuce nudis, but online everyone says Blue Velvets can't be reared. With a steady food supply am hoping it might be possible. Anyone have any info or experience they can share?

I put one in a very mature 180g mixed reef with a 45g refugium, a 45g DSB and a 90g sump. I saw it for a couple of days and never again. I can't prove it died, but that's my bet. Never let an LFS talk you into buying something that you know very little about!

To everybody, if you want it, research it like Morgan is, and then make an informed decision. I knew better, but I've always liked having unusual critters in my tank and this one was 2 hours from my home. So I made the mistake and bought it.

When I first put them in they started vacuuming up flatworms at an unbelieveable rate. It was so cool to see. The blue on their bodies looked neon electric under LEDs. They were gorgeous. Were. Yup! Just like Ron's mine went MIA. The lettuce slugs are almost always out but these guys, even at night I don't see proof of their continued existence. Very sad. So I won't be getting more. Most research says they only live 3 months so breeding them and establishing a colony would have been fantastic. But, oh well.

Yup. In the wild, they show up in hordes, feed a few days, then all disappear. May not see them again for a month or a year.
