Great pics of blue cesp people.....can't wait to receive the ones I'm getting from a fellow hobbyist.

Anyone have more pics they can post?

Best place to get a frag is probably from someone in your local reef club so you don't have to worry about shipping.

And here is another picture for the thread. Photo was taken top down with flash.

I was told the one in the foreground was blue and it actually has a blue tint but it pulses. It is definitely blue compared to the pink one in the background.

humanremainz - Did you mean to say 50 k? That seems excessive I've never heard of them before.

I am receiving some of Fraggle Reef's Blue Cisp. tomorrow. I hope it made it 200 is more than what I planned to spend on any coral. Also receiving some Dendros from them. Incredible price there. If these make it I might invest in the pink ones they have.

Anyway, what is the best way to propagate this stuff? Just cut it at the stalk with a razor where one branches off the other like xenia?

Here is my blue cesp I got from a fellow reefer:

See the glitters......very cool! :D :D

Darthfred, yours doesn't look like a cesp but cool anyways.

yes 50,000 kelvin .Iwasaki makes it ,if you look at Hello lights they have them, it's sort of an ugly color IMO, but you really do notice the sparkles in the Cesp.i bet if you mixed it up with a 20K it would be a good combo. hey mikeman what part of Ca you in?your frag look's amazing..........

Hey humanremainz, glad you like my cesp. I think my macro setting picture showed how beautiful the true blue xenia is and showed the glitters in its flesh.

I'm in Nor Cal (sac area) BUT I use to live in Orange County. I might move back there someday.

what kinda camera do you have? i have just sorta started looking into getting 1,i have some stuff I'd like to share pic's of,other Xenidae's and some other stuff. Now i just gotta find some of the other color morph's of Cesp.

I'm using a 7.2 megapixel Casio Exilium under the Macro settings features.

Whatever digital camera you get, make sure it has a macro setting. That is what lets you take really close up pictures that look clear.

Take some pics of your cesp humanremainz and what other color morphs of cesps are there? Let me know!

Mike

What seems to be the best conditions for your cespitularia? Bulb choice, additives, flow, nutrient levels?

bmwardo, I am using a 14k bulb that comes with the sunpod 150watt hqi.

I have two frags of blue cesp and they are both at the bottom of the tank and seem to be doing well.

I don't put any additives in my tank and they get medium flow, nutrient levels in my tank are low as I have a skimmer and cpr aquafuge attached behind the aquapod. I will add a few fish soon so we will see how it does then.

Some more pics of my cesp guys! I can see growth on it daily! I see little baby stalks on it getting bigger and bigger and seeing new stalks forming. Not that fast of a grower, I think maybe a millimeter a day but that will add up in a year! :D :D :D

Larger frag of cesp
