Bluespot Jawfish with 2 clown tank

My cousin just had a baby boy and loved my tank I just broke down.

He has some experience keeping saltwater fish, but not much with a BSJ.

What would be the best tank/setup for him to get to house a bluespot jawfish with only 2 clownfish and liverock?

Any tips on keeping them I can give him?

Thanks!

Jawfish need a good deal of aragonite sand and ruble rock. The sand should be a mix of fine, medium, and coarse - the latter pebble sized coral ruble like it is used for calcium reactors.

I would keep the live rock rather to a minimum to leave as much open space as possible.

Clownfish (ocellaris or percula) as tank mates should be OK as long as they are not so small that they may be seen as food by the jawfish (= they need to be too big to fit through his mouth). Instead an anemone you may want to give your clownfish a ceramic flowerpot as home. They defibnitely need a home as homeless clownfish that constantly wander the tank may drive jawfish crazy.

Though I would advise against Blue Spotted Jawfish and rather recommend Pearly (O. aurifons), Red Devil (O. castelnaui) or Tiger Jawfish (O. randalli) instead. They are hardier and clearly tropical.

While BSJ can handle tropical temperatures during the summer, they may need cooler winter temperatures for their well being. They are also more fickle and sensitive - definitely a fish that requires some advanced knowledge and experience.

You can find a good deal more info in the thread about my two BSJ: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2570213
