It's 5x3 inches and starting to grow like crazy (I recently upgraded my lighting to 250W DE AB 13K and added a PM Kalkreactor).
For top down pictures of my clams I do one of two things:
1. Move my MHs to a good angle. I have an open top with suspended pendants.
2. Turn off all my pumps. Suspend a piece of acrylic on the surface of the water and place the camera lens against it. I got this idea after reading somewhere that others use scuba face masks with their cameras. I may get an acrylic box made for my camera one day.
Clams do not turn colors. What you may see is more blue just because of the reflection of a bluer light. It has nothing to do with the clam morphing into a new color.
the lil one I got at barrier reef in boca, had it since it was tini. the bigger one I got from a guy in boca that was tearing down his tank a couple of months ago.
