That looks like quite a stretch to take pictures with the canopy height and the crown molding.

Its not to bad...

Wow, i just read through your entire thread. Super nice reef you got there. How are the MP40W? I am thinking about adding 2 of these on my reef and taking out the K4's.

Thanks Mikeeee,

I really like the Vortechs, I guess its a combination of the easy to clean part (just swap out a different wetside every other week) and the electricity being out of the tank.
They create great flow, I use Reefcrest mode and have 2 vortechs on one side and one on the other, I set the opposite side of the tank to antisync and let them go. I really like the random flow.

Haven't updated in awhile so Ill give the info...
I broke my Zeovit reactor tonight. So I guess Ill be ordering a new one this week. If anyone has a suggestion on a good one let me know.
I also think I'm losing my ORA German green with blue polyp acro. When I changed my lighting a couple weeks back it really didn't like it and bleached out pretty bad the first day. I came home and it had no PE and was very pale. I left it alone for a couple days then started to panic thinking "what if its a pest", AEFW, redbugs etc. so I pulled it out to inspect and dip. I actually think if I would not have dipped it it may have been ok but that TMPCC is pretty harsh stuff and the next day it was RTN. Its still holding on and I tried to frag and save as much as I could. We shall see how it makes out the next couple weeks.
Oh and I found no signs of any pest.

Everything else is doing good.
Like I was saying above I changed my bulbs to all 10k Reeflux bulbs and have been pretty happy with them so far.

I also added a Watermelon chalice that I Acquired in a trade.
Then I added a red stag coral that I picked up from Divers den.

I'm going to hold off on anymore corals for awhile maybe until MACNA when I have a good selection. There are a few pieces that Im looking for. (mostly greens and pinks)

I just found your next reactor, Aaron. This thing will work great, and doesn't have a bunch of moving parts.

Aaron, I'm breaking my tank down this weekend so you can have my Zeovit reactor if you want it. It holds 2L of media easily. Also, John and Brian have a 5L auger style reactor at Kingfish if you'd prefer that.

I'd be happy to keep a piece of the ORA german green in my office tank if you want to bank some in a separate system in case yours doesn't make it.

Mike

Yes I have my new Reeflux 10k bulbs installed. I have reduced my lighting period to get the corals used to the new bulbs

Im in the process of looking for an IP cam that I can stream to my iphone. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know :)

check out the panasonic network cameras. The BB-HCM581A should do everything you need has a sweet built in server setup and can pan tilt and zoom from any web browser. they have some really nice setups for doing multiple cams and recording to. Good luck Im sure you will pick something nice from the way your tank looks. Its truely awe inspiring I can only hope to have one half that nice when i get my big one setup. reading about builds like yours is so great, Id like to thank you for the time and effort you have put into it.

Aaron, did you try out that AA-LPS last night?

Yes I did, I dosed 3ml and did get great response from all my LPS except the chalice. I still haven't seen them do anything. The Acans loved it though.
I just installed the reactor. I cleaned it all out last night and set it out to dry all day. Tonight when I got home I installed it into the sump. I have to say its much better then the other reactor. It defiantly tumbles the rock allot more.
