BobbyV's Frag Tank Build

This is not a joke - come to think of it - I may be thinking about selling off some more of my stuff.

Like my 300DD and Stand you see in the above photos.

More details to follow in a new thread if I decide to do this.

Going to sell it on the cheap - stand built like a tank as you know.

What radions are those?

Funny story about those radions - they are gen ones.

But they have all 3 have been replaced brand new exchange by EcoTech 4 months ago. With upgraded fan.

I don't know if I am going to sell the lights - if I do maybe one of them.

I don't want to get ahead of myself right now.

I still have to buy another tank and set it up before I have the traditional BobbyV fire sale!

No worries. If anything I would want bone stock gen 1's anyways. Will definitely keep my eyes peeled for anything you might post.

I wouldn't sell it. Not after everything you've been through with it. Unless you're thinking of going bigger...

If you do part it out, I'd be interested in your MP-60s, but I'd hate to see a another fellow 300DD builder take it down :(

If I wasn't transitional at the moment with my job situation - I'd seriously consider buying.

There's always that 750 gallon tank - 10 foot long, 4 foot wide down in melbourne beach (I don't know why - but that guy's post was deleted from the TBRC page).

Believe it or not my wife doesn't want me to sell it. Whenever we have company, our guests just stare at the tank.

So I guess back to the frag tank build.

Did the drain in SCH 80 just because.

I thought you would get a kick out of how cheap Lowes had 1 inch SCH 80 Unions!! Silly Cheap!

Thank you Pedro for the reality check.

I got the plumbing done!

I siliconed the bulkheads.

I don't want any pesky salt creep to turn up.

Do it well and do it once!

You really shouldn't ever have to silicone bulkheads in.

Yes I agree - however you can never predict the future in this hobby.

So if you can make an extra effort to help fortify something. Why not?

My preference - Peace of Mind.

Frag Rack Built with basic materials. Black Egg Crate and Matching 1" Sch 80 from BRS. I drilled holes on the top of the PVC and secured with black UV zip ties.

Light Bracket Installed. Basic Shelf bracket which I modded and drilled holes.

EcoTech Marine Radion Light Fixture with 120 optics installed (purchased from Creative Aquariums)

EcoTech MP10ES pump providing flow, which will be upgraded to WES. (RF chip in the mail and arriving on Monday!!)

(Yes I know my kitchen is unfinished!)

Don't take this the wrong way (I guess its actually more of a compliment though)

Your house is way to nice to have a frag tank rigged up, out in the open, next to the main display. No disrespect intended, just my opinion.

Nice thank you .. .. .. my wife is very understanding of my "habits".

I also don't know where I would be able to set this frag tank up.

I envy those with these big amazing basements. Think of all the cool stuff that we could do!

Awesome addition Bobby, as always.

One comment though.... please move the frag tank off the wall level with 300. It's driving my OCD so crazy!!

:)

keep up the good work

Try not to think about it! I hope you are feeling better after your accident.
