Your 100 gallon shouldn't really be housing big groupers with butterflyfish, and your tank is to skinny for most large, bold groupers.

You will need a bigger tank the smallest groupers at the minimum are 9-10" (if you're lucky!) most likely bigger - think a foot at least. Also you need to quarantine your other fish so handle that first.

Yeah, he didn't make it. After that experience I realized butterflyfish are too hard.

A grouper should be easy, but I honestly think you might need a bigger tank. I used to have a panther and it grew FAST!!! Had to give it back since that was one of the first fish i bought. A miniatus (even though initially shy) or a v band might be what you want but I recommend a bigger tank. Of course that depends on what you have so you should list that.

i had a panther in that same 100 that didn't grow an inch. Course i had him for only half a year
