Bonsai Tree inspired Aquascape

thanks

thanks

Crazy4acros,
Thanks. I'm in a similar situation with my clown tang. I have to ask how do you keep a ssb with the two tunzes? Are they controllable or the 6060 like I have? I had a problem with my tunzes kicking up too much sand. Im curious how you got it working that way.
looks great btw.

Awesome and inspiring!!!! I'd love to check out your tank in person since we are somewhat neighbors, and if you don't mind teach me how to stack rocks like that.......it's magnificent!!!!

dv0920, They are controllable and are pulsing from a 100% to about 20%, the tips are cut off to achieve a wider spread due to the tank being just 36x36 so far no sand storms.

JOSHUAB, Thanks we'd have to meet up sometime!

Hi
Just wondering.... How do you clean the back of your tank and how often?

Beautiful set up!!!
Adriana

Thanks Adriana, I use a Kent scraper to clean the back of the tank it gets cleaned monthly.

crazy4acros I can honestly say that you have the single most creative and realistic aquascaping that I have seen here on RC. Well done. I have browsed through your thread many times when looking for inspiration for my own tank-scaping efforts and I have always left inspired!

I do have a question regarding the acrylic rods. What size (diameter) rods did you use and what would you have done differently if you had to do it all again (lessons learned)?

MeuserReef, Thank you very much for those words. I used 1/2" for the top plate and smaller ones (pencil size) for the overhang again reinforcing with lots of zip ties. The only lesson learning i can think of is to try and make the holes that hold the rods in as tight as possible without any slack. That way the pice becomes more solid.

What kind of rock is that? I need to find some that are flat and shelf-like similar to the ones you have.

Excellent looking tank by the way! One of the best I've seen and not only because it's unique!

My new tank is being constructed with Crazy's tank as its main inspiration. Hopefully I end up close! It sure would be nice to see how his setup has evolved since it was first setup...
