Bonsai Tree inspired Aquascape

How many gallons of flow have you got going in your tank with the Tunze?

I am about to set up a tank and I am thinking if I use an open reefscape like yours that I wont need aggressive flow like you see in some tanks.

An open scape like in your tank lets the water move around the corals better I think. What are your thoughts on flow?

Showed this thread to my friend and he's going to do the same thing. Thanks for the great idea, good for water flow in the open rockwork.

Very nice open rockscape, now let the corals grow and accentuate this rockscape with the coral scaping.

Keep up the good work.

Robertus.

any updates ??

Guys/Gals,

Sorry for not being in the loop here lately, I appreciate all of your comments. The tank is doing really well and everything is growing. The only changes I have made was taking out the shallow sand bed, I got really tired of siphoning it every month and just decided to get rid of it all together. With that I have upped the percentage on the Streams and added another one on the bottom of the tank behind the rockwork. I also moved some of the corals a bit to give it more room to grow out.

The good thing about my open scape is that I can easily add sand back in if I choose to, however I am very pleased with the extra flow and the corals look like they appreciate it as well. I will try to get some pics up this weekend.

Once again thank you all for the awesome comments!:D

Looking forward to some new pics :D I'm guessing your LR is a combination of a few large pieces? Very nice set up indeed!

As always all comments are welcome.
