Boo Marineland

Just finished plumbing and leak testing my new 45 marineland cube, and I noticed this. The gap covers about 80% in one direction and 50% in the other. Used a straightedge to find its definitely the stand that's uneven.

Not much I can do on a Sunday night, but hopefully the warranty will cover a replacement.

I guess I should blame perfecto, since they make the stands and aquariums for marineland. Phone help was non-existent... have to email pictures and my receipt. Hopefully its a quick resolution

did you buy it at a local store? Maybe you could take it to them for a replacement and they would deal with the return hassle.

Yea I did but it was a special order... they are closed on Mondays though. Might try to call tomorrow, depending on the response from perfecto

Actual response from perfecto: the tank will settle when full of water

The gap is over 1/8"... Not sure I buy that answer

Response Heard: We are hoping that you are a "noob" and will take our answer as one of fact. Furthermore, we do not wish to help you resolve your issue and hope that you will peacefully go away.

Justice may be at hand... I did refill it against my better judgement, but the problem was still there. After emptying and removing the tank, I found the problem was a bow along the front edge. The perfecto engineer recommended a tank replacement, so hopefully customer service makes it happen.

They should have done that in the first place without the hassle. Do they think they are verizon or some oterh self improtant mega company ? At least you didn't have to talk to five computer voices to get nowhere which seems to be today's defintion of customer service in many places.
