Bottomless Fish Tank Questions

Well from the looks of all the videos. To have the bottom section, maybe a 130g 4ftx4ftx1ft tank would be sufficient enough to be the bottom. That is a custom made job. Probably run you around $450 for that tank maybe more. The top tank would be easier, maybe just a 50gal tall which should run you only like $150-$200. I'm wondering what type of filtration would be the best. Drill an overflow into a separate sump system maybe? Or just tons of LR with lots of powerheads. Hmmm, something to ponder on for sure. I still am trying to grasp the idea myself.

also some of them only looked like the bottom was 2 or 3 feet if that idk tho maybe it was the video angle, but some looked small

if i were to make it myself i wonder what the cost of the acrylic or glass would be. any idea on the cost of the glass pieces or acrylic pieces for the project? or how much they cost per sq foot?
