Bought a 40 Breeder?!

Perhaps in this hobby it's not a bad idea to have some sort of a plan, idea, or main goal when shopping for an aquarium before purchasing it.

Additionally, it wouldn't hurt to research the myriad of issues you are currently experiencing before you abandon one failing project only to start another (especially when it involves live animals).

Well put Johnny, but to put it in words hey may understand a little better...You are an idiot, try goldfish.. They are more your speed..

A 40 gallon breeder is actually way too small for goldfish....I had goldfish in a 55 gallon for a year, and had to rehome them in a pond because they were too big. Plus, they produce a ton of waste, and he'd have to do water changes every few days, which I just can't see happening. Maybe minnows or neon tetras might be a good idea.

I would NOT recommend a discus tank, as they are quite delicate, and I can see that not turning out well. A 40 breeder is also not big enough for arrowana's or other larger fish, as stated above.

Honestly, your best bet is to set up a refugium and get your saltwater tank fixed before you move onto any other tanks and creatures.......take the advice of some of the posters above about refugiums.......

Hmmmm,I was just watching this movie where 2 guys had like this 500gal tank setup in the kitchen ,im pretty sure it was an earthworm farm.

My vote! Worm farm, you can harvest free and resell them suckers for a profit to fisherman and feed some to your aquarium yep, so everybody wins.About a half weelbarrow full of dirt and your on your way to $.

Ha! Now somebody try to top that idea!

P.S. note the fragging edit on the bottom, also lowes has a circular saw on sale if you decide to start fragging them.I just saw it in the newspaper sale sections.Think it was the "skill" brand.

I think you missed a bit of sarcasm.

Eels are super sloppy eaters..might nit be a great idea for a frag tank...they get pretty big too, but I'm sure you knew that from all the research you've done ;)

I'm assuming you were considering the commonly found snowflake eel?

yeah ive had one before and like you said they get big and boy did he get big quick lol....but idk maybe a cichlid tank or something would work just gonna be something that gets done when it gets done

Don't eels escape easily?
How many tanks do you have? Are you a Petsmart?

I still can't tell if this is a joke....
Since we are doing things wrong. I would like to put a mimic octopus into a frag tank.

Serious as a heart attack. The movie I was watching features Jim Carry.Yeah, so its based on a true story.

Arron-the worm farm kits have some real potential,I was watching it again and heres some nice selling points from the movie.
"they make great pets, there quiet, they dont bite and there great with kids.

...and of couse fraggable.

I was just thinking a compound miter saw might give the worm frags sort of a signature, you know like put a bevel on each or something.idk
