Bought Aurora Goby Friday Haven't Seen Him Since

Went to the LFS on Friday, and picked up this awesome looking Aurora Goby. I asked if he was a "Hider", and they said "Kind of".
I've had a Pink Spotted Watchman in the past, but, while he did hide, he was out quite a bit as well.

Well, I added him Friday, and he sat on a rock for about 10 minutes and when I came back I couldn't see him. Haven't seen him since...

Since then I've read multiple threads about people's Auroras being presumed dead for months and then they have a sighting. Do they really just never ever come out?
Kind of sucks buying ghost-fish you'll never see. He was really cool, orange and white banded, etc.

Pink bar goby, they do a fair amount of hiding. I would say more than a watchman..

Weird. I guess he's either dead somewhere or living in a secret lair

It happens with secret fish. Makes you appreciate them more when they come out.

I had a freshwater fish that I would only see on christmas morning, when the kids would wake me up early enough to see him out! I think I saw him about 10 times in 10 years. But on to your fish. As long as you do not find he has jumped into the overflow or something- he may well appear!
