I bought a 200 and a 300 this is the 200 (3') as the power supply for the 300 is MIA. It is the 120 optics I purchased some 90's to play with but they are also not here yet. The tank is 8'
The 90 optics will brighten it up more. The white lights will penetrate the water better. I have 60 optics on mine at 12 inches but my tank is only 18 inches in length. Yours is 24 and once you add the other fixture and change the optics to 90 you should see a change more to your liking. Here is a picture of mine at 100% with no T-5 and 60 optics with your same layout. It's bright.
That's correct. I mentioned way back in the beginning of this thread that the hagging kit is a problem with the issued bolts. The bolts strip easily. If you plan on hanging. Buy better bolts
Has anyone found a good sized bolt that fits into the track like the one provided? I need one that is longer as I am trying to mount my lights to a tv wall mount, but after the above comment I am curious as to what people have found that fits in the slots.
So you think changing just whites to 90 or all
At 6:30 only L1 is on. Why is that?

Sometimes there is a delay of about five minutes. Did they eventually turn on?
weird L3 came up at 8AM just after L1 reached 20%
L2 came on on time.
now I'm seen same behavior with L4.. suppose to come on at 9
Lets see at what time it does come on
seems to be they need an HR in between like
0 -1
---- 0 -2
------------ 0 -3

I used 3 inch bolts at HD. I believe it was #8 screws with a Phillips head. Can't quite remember. You might need to bring one of the bolts with you to compare. I just slid them on the track, drilled a hole through the top lid and bolted them. They actually are hanging since there is a one inch separation between the unit and the lid.
I am glad I stumbled onto this thread as I am in the market for an LED light.
I have a 240 Gal., its 8 x 2 x 2 and with a low boy canopy, so I have to use (2) 36" lights. There is only 5" of room from the canopy to the Acrylic to mount it in the canopy. Will I have to change optice because it so close to the water? How much heat is everyone getting from these? I will have to add a couple vent holes in the canopy for the cool ait to be pulled in, but how much will the water temp go up?
I would like to bolt them directly to the under side of the canopy.
I am waiting on pricing for 2 of the S200's.
The next step will be to figure out what LED pattern to use since it looks like a lot of people have changed them up a bit.
Hi folks!
I am thinking of getting one S300 for my 250 gal freshwater setup, 70×42×24", because I really like its daylight and other programming options, considering the price. All colored leds would be changed for 6000k whites, 12000k whites would remain. I'd go for a hanging kit and 90 degree optics.
Do you think the light will be too bright? Not much vegetation is planned either, mostly rocks with algae for tanganyikans.
Thanks!
