Bought new led light fixture from China.

I bought a 200 and a 300 this is the 200 (3') as the power supply for the 300 is MIA. It is the 120 optics I purchased some 90's to play with but they are also not here yet. The tank is 8'

The 90 optics will brighten it up more. The white lights will penetrate the water better. I have 60 optics on mine at 12 inches but my tank is only 18 inches in length. Yours is 24 and once you add the other fixture and change the optics to 90 you should see a change more to your liking. Here is a picture of mine at 100% with no T-5 and 60 optics with your same layout. It's bright.

So you think changing just whites to 90 or all

That's correct. I mentioned way back in the beginning of this thread that the hagging kit is a problem with the issued bolts. The bolts strip easily. If you plan on hanging. Buy better bolts

Has anyone found a good sized bolt that fits into the track like the one provided? I need one that is longer as I am trying to mount my lights to a tv wall mount, but after the above comment I am curious as to what people have found that fits in the slots.

I used 3 inch bolts at HD. I believe it was #8 screws with a Phillips head. Can't quite remember. You might need to bring one of the bolts with you to compare. I just slid them on the track, drilled a hole through the top lid and bolted them. They actually are hanging since there is a one inch separation between the unit and the lid.

weird L3 came up at 8AM just after L1 reached 20%
L2 came on on time.

now I'm seen same behavior with L4.. suppose to come on at 9
Lets see at what time it does come on

seems to be they need an HR in between like

0 -1
---- 0 -2
------------ 0 -3
------------------------ 0 -4

Wow... talk about being to close to the forest to see the trees. I was WAY over thinking this. I was looking for bolts that had the same type of head as what it came with. I just took a Phillips flat head this morning at it slid in there perfectly. Now I just need to pick some up that are the right length.

Thanks for opening my eyes on this.

Power supply finally arrived. No fault of Zeal but more of getting stuck in customs. Not able to try it yet because I am still waiting on new tank but a quick test proves that the unit works well. One small snag is that I didn't check the invoice well enough and no brackets were included....... My fault. So have any of the UK guys on here got brackets that they are not using and would like to sell? Got a quote and shipping is 3 times the cost of the actual brackets

I am glad I stumbled onto this thread as I am in the market for an LED light.
I have a 240 Gal., its 8 x 2 x 2 and with a low boy canopy, so I have to use (2) 36" lights. There is only 5" of room from the canopy to the Acrylic to mount it in the canopy. Will I have to change optice because it so close to the water? How much heat is everyone getting from these? I will have to add a couple vent holes in the canopy for the cool ait to be pulled in, but how much will the water temp go up?

I would like to bolt them directly to the under side of the canopy.

I am waiting on pricing for 2 of the S200's.

The next step will be to figure out what LED pattern to use since it looks like a lot of people have changed them up a bit.

Heads up. Been swapping mails with Kevin today and he advised that there is a public holiday starting tomorrow and running through the weekend. Responses to mails maybe delayed. Just thought I would mention in case anybody tries to contact him

For those dimensions you have you are going to need a least 4 units. Read through some of the past posts with others with your similar dimensions and see what they ordered. Your main problem is the 24 front to back and the height you are going to put them. Also 8 ft will not be covered with the S200. You might need to get 2 S200 and 2 S300.

Hi folks!

I am thinking of getting one S300 for my 250 gal freshwater setup, 70×42×24", because I really like its daylight and other programming options, considering the price. All colored leds would be changed for 6000k whites, 12000k whites would remain. I'd go for a hanging kit and 90 degree optics.

Do you think the light will be too bright? Not much vegetation is planned either, mostly rocks with algae for tanganyikans.

Thanks!

So here is my dilemna
This is a current pic of the tank with one 6 foot fixture to get by with

Here is the canopy

When it sits on the tank there is only 5" of room from the top of the canopy door to the top of the acrylic on the tank.
The top door opens and there is 46.5 x 22" of room so I cant squeeze an S300 in there.
I could go with 1 S200 on each side or do I go with 2 S120's on each side running long end from front to back?

Here is a pic (cell phone) of both of the leds zeals installed and at 100%. Just to clear up and earlier typo I have a 24" tall 30" front to back and 8' long tank. I have enough 90 degree optics to chage the s200 over so I may try that in the coming days.

I think this would be too much white even for fresh water! As far as being too bright you can just dim the leds so it would only be as bright as you wanted.

Alright so I am having programming issues I went through the diy and set all the sequences and stuff but it doesn't run the program it goes to something else but when I go back into programming mode all the setting are still there. What gives? For what its worth I have the wireless.
