Bought new led light fixture from China.

Kevin got back to me. Everything looks good to go. Do you know if the controllers are required, or if the units can be setup via the fixture directly?

Really? I'm in the same boat. I've got the PSU's on a shelf next to the tank cause the cables are too short. I haven't been able to find these connectors to make extensions. Guess I'll shoot Kevin an e-mail.

You need a controller. All processing memories are stored in the controller - not the fixture. Also - the WiFi Controller needs to be plugged in to a wall wort or it will shut off the fixture when the battery runs down. Personally I'm happy with the wired controlled. I didn't even look for batteries for the basic wireless remote.

Yep he was great about it. I told him he should offer them up, I figured I wasn't the only one with short wires! It wasn't real fancy but has male and female so it is plug and play. The controller is a must. I went with the wireless but in reality it has to be plugged in to a wall outlet at all times to work. This being said it is nice to sit on couch and adjust lighting.

I gotta say after buying a photon48 and then buying this ledzeal 5'er for 100$ more im very satisfied i wish their controller was more like the photons look wise but its worth the dough no doubt if i would of went with 3 radions or hydra52 fixtures i woulda been close to 2grand easy so cant beat that i just hope it lasts i like how i ordered the black fixture and they kept it sleek with black panels and optics all matching looks clean woohoo

Correct, I was referring to the basic RF remote. Once I found a program that I liked, I haven't had to touch the controller.
So far the results have been great. Our tank is essentially a complete rebuild so there aren't a lot of corals, yet... But the ones we have are thriving. The only one that wasn't trilled was our anemone. It shriveled up and stopped showing it's bulbs. We were afraid it wasn't going to make it. I slowly increased the white channel to about 80% and it seems to be recovering. Which has made our clown very happy - it's back hosting in its nemmie.

with your dimension if you are getting the S200 then you should use 90. You fixture will be the exact length of the tank and its only 18 inches tall. Go with 90.

my name is Simon and I'm new to this forum and LEDs. I've followed this thread for a while and I think these lights look pretty good for my tank.
I have a Aqua Medic Percula 120, it's 122 cm (48") long , 60 cm (24") high and 53 cm (21") in depth. It has a frame on top of the tank which is 6 cm (2,3") above the waterlevel. I think I'll go with Gillguys led setup.
So, I could mount the s300 with brackets on that frame, but I'm not sure how high the fixture will be above the surface of water with those brackets and which optics should I use.
It's a mixed tank with softcorals, lps and sps but in future I'll probably add more sps.
Would be great if you can help me.

If the fixtures 48" like the tank i would go with all 90* optics

i would use 60 degree because of the 24 inch tall if you get the s300. Better penetration to the sand bed.
 
The Lights came in and are up and running....VERY happy with them, just need to adjust the sun up/down time
 
Where did everyone get those legs from are they an extra i see the slots in the end of my s400 but no legs came with it
