Bought new led light fixture from China.

Is anyone having problems with beaming?
I noticed tonight that the lights are producing a "beam" of light into the tank.
I think its because the lights are so close....correct?
It could also be time for a big water change.

How long before everyone has started to see some good coral growth?
My plate coral that was about dead has stormed back, my Zoanthids havent done anything.

Not noticed any beaming but I have used 120's all round

As to growth my Zoa seem all perked and my plate is going bonkers. I have had to make a frag rack just to put plate in

Quite easy. Remove the plastic cover and pull off the optics and push in the new one.

Just on this point. Do you have to stick the new one in? I see that the original have some form of sticky stuff on them when you remove

Trying to figure out if i should change my 120's over to the 90's

Here's what I started out with on my 2 - S200's. I've made a few changes but haven't put the updates in a file yet. The only major change is the whites are now up to about 80% as my nemmie wasn't happy losing the MH's. This gives a very blue look, for most of the day , which is what I wanted.
I don't have any moon lights but it would be easy to put some in a sequence. I found you need to have the "zero" place holders or it will ramp up/down to the next sequence.

Hey Fuzzy

Where you up to on your schedule at the moment? Whats the max that you have got to on the whites?

No need to use any sticky stuff. Just push it in and it will hold itself and then the cover will hold it in place.

Ok so with a few days to think about the future (the one with more or bigger tanks in it) I decided to go with 2 x S120's, this will allow for multiple lights to conn etc as my tank grows :celeb3:

I also ordered about 30 spare LED's and 90 different optics so that I can play around with coverage and penetration.

here is my layout that I have ordered, all done and dusted, now I just wait:beer:

Actual Layout

And a video of the S120 Daisy Chained

Looks good but ........ :)

I would add two more UV 420nm and change the green for turquoise 495nm.
If you like the radium 20k look, you may also want to replace a few more whites with UV or RB.
The 2:1 ratio for white to blue looks too white for my taste.

PS:Since adding more UV my Corals have responded with better growth.

I haven't updated my file yet, but from memory the whites are at 80%, I think for about 4 hours. Since I raised the whites, our BTA has opened up and is getting it's color back.

When you chance chance buddy that would be great if you could upload

Boosted my white recently and my blasto has really started to take off. Been quite lucky with my nem and half of it has been sat right under it since the beginning with no ill effect

I have also ordered spare LED's including UV, White, Blue, Royal blue etc, so if colour is wrong I can adjust, and don't forget there will be two of these over a 48" tank so six UV in total.

I am running a 32 diode 50/50 3w non adjustable Cree unit at the moment, so will be fun to watch the change.

Just ordered a S300 for my tank. 110tall 48w x 18d x 30tall

Ordered gilly's led layout with 60degree on all but red/green. Got the wired controller and asked for pricing on extra optics and LEDs and the power extension cable.

I've been following this thread since March and finally decided its time. I can't wait :)

Are both parts in the UK? You may find it comes sooner than Monday if it clears customs quickly

Tracking update......on vehicle for delivery! :bounce1: I've only had one tracking notice so don't know if both parts are together, notice says two packages but only one set of information.

Just re checked, didn't notice two seperate lists....says both items on vehicle for delivery....fingers crossed today will be the day!

Sharkman, Do you know if your unit is coming with the new controller? Foo in the other forum in Europe mentioned in an earlier post that Ledzeal was releasing a new controller in June/July. Curious to know what the differences are.
