Do you hVe the red and greens? I know I've read it somewhere but I have ledzeal progs going around in my head at night I've read so much!!
Very nice spread sheet i have one similar for my photon i dont have too much computer skills i use my phone most the time can anyone modify a spread sheet like this one to where you can input a starting percentage per channel and it will fill in the time slots for a ramp up ramp down time frame based on hours you want your light on heres the one i have for my photon as referance hmmmmmm

I'll have a look at it tonight and see what I can come up with, but the base data is simple somewhere like the barrier reef has an average of 12 hours sunlight per day, and thanks to the plethora of solar power modelling sites these days you can see that there are 2 peaks during a 4 hour period between 10am and 2pm.
Getting to the peaks is actually pretty close to a straight line so what this means is we can break the day up into 3 main periods of 4 hours, Ramp up, Peak and ramp down, and if truly anal then you could include a slightly more intense peak between 11am and 1pm.
But now to the variances, because in this particular instance we are playing god, we need to first decide a few things, such as what time do we no longer want any real light in our tank, from there we work backwards for 12 hours to get the start of the sequence.
the next thing you need to work out, is what your preferred colour spectrum during the peak period is, now this doesn't have to consider the total intensity, we will get to that later, but you need to work your perfect blend out at peak, once you have this you need to record each channel as this will be important later.
Ok so finally what we need to do is work out our starting point for new lights (work within the peak period), I created a spreadsheet for my situation and will tweak it as I go, you need to choose what works best for you, but once you have your correct blend for peak and the right intensity for change over then the rest can be pretty easy, especially if your dimmer system is automatic and if you let your system do the work you only need 4 or 6 set points (unless of course you then want special hues of blue at night)
Time/Set points would be like this but mapped out to applicable times for your aquarium world, in my case my 6am will be 10am so that my tank is lit through to 10pm
set point 1 6am
Set pt 2 10am (Start of main peak)
Set Point 3 11am
Set point 4 1pm
Set point 5 2pm
Set Point 6 6pm
if using an automated system you should to set your peak points as the same to maintain your peak.
]Heres how i hung mine i didnt like the long cable from the ceiling or the big clips for the brackets so i used a aquatic life t5 hanging kit i had from a previous t5 fixture and mounted the shelf in between the tank in the ceiling i drilled straight threw the center for the cables of the stock brackets attached to the light and pulled cable threw and clamped the ends using stainless steel cable instead of the plastic coat one supplied and bam here it is

Gillguy, lets just say they are now :headwally:
they did in fact turn off and then through the night started ramping up again so they were at their 6am values :headwalls:
working on a more automated spreadsheet to at least create the starting point for each channel
Some where Gillguy mention that every scene has to start with 0% and end with 0% otherwise they will turn on when not expected.
this is what I did when I was playing wit the set up. The 1% on channel 3 is for moon light

Do you ave the red and green LEDs or go for extra blue?
Brilliant another light pattern to try. Thanks
You must spend half your day changing settings mate!!!
I hope the new controller has more time settings heres what i got from kevin when asking him
Yes, we are about to release the upgraded controller with the main new features as bellow:
*
1. Made with all aluminum* from previous iron, looks more solid and feel better to operate
2. The biggest upgrade :Original 1 DIY*setting to 3* DIY setting can applied to different time period*or to switch anytime for customers
3. Add Strong*Cloud and Flash mode (There is ON/ OFF, off is the normal cloud or flash)*, when one circle is done will automatically back to sunrise/sunset mode.
*
It*will be*compatible with the Malibu S*, but not released officially since still in last testing .
