Bowl feed?

Is my squamosa asking for a phyto feeding from a bowl in this picture? Or is it okay? I don't usually bowl feed it but if the picture indicates it NEEDS it then I'll do it.

In this forum I have read that clams under 3 inches need this and larger clams do not.
However, if you don't dose phyto on a regular basis...

I dose Live phyto 2x daily (2 liters a week). Do they still need to be bowl fed if under 3" in that case?

I can not say definitively.
Hopefully some more experienced clam'ers will chime in.
