Boxfish in Copper QT has ich?

Tried searching this up, but could not find anything, so here I am asking.

My yellow boxfish seems to have white dots. The strange thing is that he is in my quarantine tank that is running Cupramine (0.50 ppm). I have had him for about three weeks, and I have just seen these dots today. Is this ich or is this something else? I know that boxfish are more susceptible to ich, but is that possible in a QT with copper (cupramine)?

Are you using a seachem test kit? I would not think it's ich at .50 to be honest. Double check those parameters

Used seachem and salifert. I hate reading the color chart. I simply can't tell. It is a 20G tank and I added 80 drops at first and every time I take out 5G for water change, I put back in 20 drops. Tank also has 2 crowns, 2 pajamas, 1 emperor angel juvenile. They are fine. I am beginning to think these white dots are its own. I will change water once a day for a few more days to make sure dosage is not far from 0.50.

Yes definitely hold at .5. Anothe week should clear it up but go 4 weeks after last visible ich is gone. Good luck!!

It could also be flukes. Try freshwater dipping for 10 mins and see if you can tell if it is flukes or ich. If it is flukes.. treat with prazipro. But do not combine prazipro with the copper in that tank.
