braced basement

posted a while back about bracing my floor for 180 display. had a home building contractor help me with this. pressure treated 6x6's each on 2 js 100 support poles (~$35ea, rated to 9100lbs each). each supports the 3 joists under the tank.

thats probably overkill for a 180, but its always better safe than sorry
so I probably would have done the same

they are resting on the concrete floor. although not seen in the pictures, the tops are bolted to the 6x6's.

as for overkill? possibly. but i'll tell you i sleep alot better knowing i could park my dodge ram there if i needed to.

the brace poles are call JS-100's

I got mine at home depot. i believe they were even cheaper in the store. Maybe $27 and change.
