Brain coral bleaching

Ive had a brain coral for about 8 months.
Its grown huge but 2months ago i started being lazy with feeding it and when i removed all my live rock to resetup the positioning of the live rock i noticed its started to bleach from the base going upwards. I have become alert of the problem and have kept up with feeding. My question is can it ever recover where it has bleached?

It should. I have never fed my brains on a regular basis.
