Brain Coral eating hermit crab

Is this safe? A hermit crab must have fallen on him and you can see the shell inside its mouth. Just wanna make sure it can digest it or will it spit the shell out? Thanks.

It should spit the shell out. I wouldn't have thought a brain would be fast enough to eat a hermit. Are you sure the crab isn't the one doing the damage?

Yeah I am sure the crab is the one having damage done to it, the shell is gone. Better luck next time crabby.

The wifey said she saw the crab fall off a ledge and the brain more or less just closed up on it.
