Brand New 9010

Installed my new 9010 yesterday. Can't seem to get the foam very high in the reactor even with the air screw wide open. It stays at the very base of the cup. Should this resolve itself after the skimmer breaks in more? or is there a problem?

are you using it in the sump? if it is in the sump, make sure all the pieces are fully inserted. it could be break in, but i would check the volute to see if it is seated and that there are no kinks in the lines.
i have a 9020 and when i first installed it was kinked from shipping or something.

I am running it in the sump. When I installed the parts for in sump operation I made sure the air line was not kinked. All parts are fitted well the best I can tell. Hopefully it starts to kick up soon. My tank is an established tank with a decent bioload. My SS125 was pulling gunk very well until the pump started to act up.

The foam level is up and it is starting to skim now. Guess it just needed some break in time.
