Brand new water, sand, rock.. not what I expected

I filled a new tank with ro/di and instant ocean mixed salt, nature's ocean live sand and life rock from Caribsea.

After a couple of days there is a bluish/grayish film on the glass and powerheads etc..

Is this normal?

Absolutely normal..
It will clear up with time..

yep it will clear. If you did not rinse the sand, a lot of fine particles will be in the water column. I know its live, but being in a bag a lot of it is dead too. Even rinsed the bacteria will still be attached to the sand particles. An old canister filter packed with filter floss will clear the water pretty quickly if needed.
