Breakin my RO/DI

I have a question.
How many gallons should i let my band new RODI run though before i can use the "pure" water?

i let mine run for 2 hours before i got a zero reading

mine said to discard the first ten gallons. I checked after 5 gallons and it was good....I still threw away another 5 gallons. But just check it after about an hour or so and it should be good.

5 gallons is usually sufficient. Do not install your DI cartridge until it is flushed or you will be needlessly using up your DI.
