Breaking Down Tanks - Free Corals, Fish, Macroalgae, Live Rock, and Live Sand

Update: The large toadstool, one of the shrooms, and some of the purple sponges are gone. There are four mushrooms and plenty of sponges left to go, as well as the rest of the corals and the fishes.

Looks like I need to pass on the fish...have clowns already and the tank is too new for a mandarin. Would like the tang, but its only a 3' tank.

Thanks.

I can't tell you how good it is to see that post. I commend you for possessing the knowledge AND acting appropriately.

I hope the fish do find homes that meet their needs.

Update 2: More purple sponges are gone (but there's plenty left), and I'm now down to two mushrooms. Everything else is still available.

Finding proper homes for the fish is definitely my intention. Any that aren't adopted will have to go to the LFS (unless the local zoo & aquarium is interested in donations).

if no one has grabbed the blastos yet Id like those, and is all the purple sponges or is some of it monti? the ones on the back wall look more like monti, but I would take a piece of the purple either way if its available, i could swing by as early as tomorrow after work.

I have one potential claim on the blastos; I'm trying to get confirmation that the person still wants them.

Everything purple is definitely sponges. The orange SPS in the front of the tank (I forget the name) is the only one that's ever thrived in my tank.

Update 3: The large toadstool, all of the shrooms, and more of the purple sponges are gone. There are still plenty of sponges left. There's a potential claim on the Blastomussa, and the mandarin is spoken for (as soon as I can catch it). Everything else is still available.

Our classroom tanks can accommodate any corals, sponges, cuc and misc items that don't get claimed. We have four mixed reef tanks in our school from 20g to 150g.
