breeding Banggai Cardinals

I have a fairly new tank and would like to breed Banggai Cardinals in the future. I have put together a stocking list and a single Banggai will be my second addition(I just added my first two fish, Ocellaris clowns). If I add a second Banggai sometime in the future will they mate, or do they have to be introduced together?

males will fight if you get a female they will pair up,make sure there well fed on live and frozen food the male hasto hold the eggs in his mouth for 3 weeks if he isint fat he will eat them.the egg ball is yellow to orange you will see a bulge in his mouth when he has collected them.he wont eat untill they hatch.

Thanks for the info but I am STILL unaware if a breeding pair NEED to added together or can I add, say a male now and a female at a later date and expect then to mate?

No---
you can add a female later or any time really. Problem is--you can't add a male banggai later-else WWIII starts. So you really have to know the correct sex upfront- which IMHO is impossible
Banggais come presexed (m/F) and they don't switch sexes- so caveat empor

I got two banghaiis, in an attempt to get a pair. I am 99% sure that I have two males, as I have seen them "blowing up " their jawlines at each other.

Since this time, they have been hanging at differnt ends of the tank, it is a 90g. If I can find and add a female, is it possible that the two males will continue to coexist, or will I need to remove one? They have been in there for a little over a month. I have seen no fighting, they are both eating frozen.

I am thinking along the lines of having two breeding males, as I know the females are not "faithful". Just wondering any thoughts on this. Sorry to high jack the thread!!
