Breeding Green Mandarins

Not to Hi-jack this thread.

But if you have 2 mandarins and they are not doing the "dance" does that mean they are not compatible. Seems like my female wants nothing to do with my male. Its been 4 months

Is there a way to tell if she is mature yet? she is about 1.5 inches. The male is 3 inches.

Firstly, Mandarins are one of the harder fish to breed, and only a few people have managed to raise the fry successfully. You need a very small first food, some say even rotifers are too big.

My Female is approx 2" and she will come out at sunset and display in the water column looking for a mate. As long as they are well fed they will eventually try to look for a mate, just hope they pair up :P
