ok i have 3 clowns in my tank, how could i tell if they are breading, and if mine is prego?????
Clowns lay eggs and to the best of my knowledge don't breed. The female larger clown will lay a clutch of eggs and the male will then fertilize them. The male (smaller) will then fan the eggs and keep watch over them until they hatch.
What kind of clowns do you have?
I usually use Vigo italian bread crumbs for breading and I prefer Ragu garden vegetable to Prego. LOL
j/k,

(ps - its "breeding" HTH)
I'm very interested in if it is normal for female to stop eating when preparing to lay eggs.
I am having the same issues with my pair of Ocellaris. One of them has not eaten for two days, but still seems very alert and active and a few days ago she was nipping at my mushrooms, almost like she was getting them to back up to make room.
