Can you tell me , how do I know the sex of the fish? and what`s the period for breeding(clown fish)

Thank you!

With clownfish the larger of the pair is female, and the smaller one male. They start out life without a determined sex, as they grow, the largest of the group matures to female, the second largest male, and any others in the group remain as immature juvies. Should the female die, the male becomes female, and the next larges of the immature group becomes the new male. So if your looking in the LFS to try and pick pairs out of a bunch of clownfish, pick the largest in tank, and a nice small one, and you'll have a pair. As for the breeding part, typically they hit reproductive maturity between 1 and 2 years of age. Though that is no guarantee that they will breed. Best chances for sucess are a dedicated tank for the pair, and feed them very well with a variety of high quality foods, and a lot of patience.
