Id have to agree with randy here i ran across this thread and just tried thier magnesion junk in my opinion doesnt raise the amounts much at all testing with sailfert test and since started outbreak of algae probs not to mention polyp resection thumbs down

Hey Curly - I use Brightwell's stuff too. I think if you read a lot of Randy's opinions, and facts - It really is not "anti-Chris"....It *IS* anti-marketing language...Capiche?

I have seen Randy take other manufacturers to task when he found that their products either don't live up to the claim - or claim things that just can't be/or don't make sense.

But - don't take it personal against an individual.

I'm not really taking it personal. But, what started as a testimony to brightwell's products turned into Randy listing products "that do not do what it claims". I just think it could have been a much more peaceful thread. no offense meant to you tee.

I understand your point curly- and...apologetically, I have contributed to a bit of "thread wander"....I guess it is part of the fun of the hobby to tease a bit and forget what the OP's question was.

You will find that no one in this hobby will agree with another hobbyist 100% on what to use and how to use different products. And un-forunately, being as human as we are - we do sometime "go -off track". I mean - you saw my picking at Boomer and Randy in one sentence ( I have a penchant for that:lmao

You know, when I first read some of Randy's posts - I was a little frustrated at how he was taking some manufacturer to task.....
Then the more I read, the more I saw that he is not "anti" any particular manufacturer for personal reasons - just the ones that promote products in a less than "full-disclosure" manner. Or those that sell us the "secret sauce"...make some big claims....and what we wind up with is a world record algae outbreak - *because* we followed the directions!

My frustration with all manufacturers is thatthey make - usually - arbitrary statements about their stuff, that is not something that we can measure, test, or prove. It is the nature of all things sold in a largely un - regulated industry. I am not in favor of regulation, - just more truthful information.
That is where guys like Randy, Boomer, Highland Reefer, and others have helped to "fill in the gaps" so to speak....
Just my experience - your mileage may vary:lol2:.......

I don't seriously think Randy is jealous of Brightwell but actually burned out. I found a few BW products interesting in concept at least. Koral Coral is one of them. What actual foods would introduce cartinoids? I think Randy needs a break to do real sponsored research at our loss perhaps, ( and also learn to appreciate the difficult of growing out a 10" Oregon tort over a 20" leather. ) I don't think anyone with college science background would take Brightwell or many others seriously.
