Brine Shrimp and Ocellaris Clowns

I have two ocellaris clowns that are somewhat finicky eaters.

I am feeding them hikari small pellets which they do eat in small amounts over the course of several attempts.

They spit frozen mysis shrimp right back out and will not keep it in no matter how much i try to push it on them.

They both go absolutely crazy over frozen brine shrimp though like they can't get enough of it.

Is there any nutritional value in brine shrimp? should I be catering towards it by using more brine shrimp instead of pellets?

Thanks in advance

Brine shrimp are like potato chips, no nutritional value. The probably could starve to death if all they ate was brine shrimp.

I have heard of fish not liking the Hikari pellets but never NLS pellets. The NLS pellets can be purchased in .05mm and 1.0mm. I would switch to the NLS and also try and get some LRS as it will feed your whole tank with the reef mixture.

Yes I feed NLS pellets. But the staple is mysis soaked in selcon. If you want to feed brine shrimp you can soak them in selcon or something similar to increase their nutritional value.

Thanks... will try a go with the NLS pellets first and go from there. They will eat the hikari pellets when they're hungry but you can tell it's not something they really want ... like the brine shrimp they go nuts over.

I use the .5 mm on my baby clowns and the 1mm for my breeding clowns. With their size you should be fine with the 1mm
