You don't need those... you said you're colorblind :)

Yah, 3-4 is plenty big for rares.

well not all the time :).. like this one, I don't know the color is pink or purple :D ..

When these thing close up, they are pretty small. Are all zoa like that??

Hehe... those are brown, not pink/purple. You don't want those in your tank :D

Especially since they're so unusually small :)

If those are in, I think I should be getting 2-3 rarity pick for each of my japanese lord and other stuff I might be bringing. Not personal or anything, but some of the rarities are not at all rare or even hard to find in the bay area. If anyone has been to Mermaid, Aquatic Gallery, and Aquarium Concept in the two years, they could have easily pick up most of these corals with ease.

You will not be getting "extra" picks for having "extra rare" corals. The premise of the swap is to share, not require equal value for your stuff. If you like, save your japanese lords and whatever else you are placing such a high value on for your side trades. I wouldn't want you to be disappointed that what you get to take home isn't equivalent in value to what you bring. -Jim

You know I fragged them couple night ago and thinking that I might not bring them to the swap at all because they are a bit small. I don't really care if I can get in the rare group as I can't really tell which coral are rare and which are not. Comment like this really help me make a decision.

Phong, comments like that one that the other guy made are NOT representitive of BAR or the frag swap, and as such shouldn't be held with any regard.

You're lucky Jim allowed those pieces. I have a very hard time allowing any LPS or zoos in this category:lol:

Thats not the way the swap works. :D At the same time, no one is forcing you to bring anything to the swap, and if you decide that its not for you thats fine. :D

Sometimes you can get them sometimes you can't. The people determining 'rare' are doing the best they can do and regularly visit all of those shops and more. Perhaps next year you can be one of the arbiters of 'rare' and you can see how difficult a job it actually is. Are you a member of the club?

So if I bring my orange on orange monti and my setosa it would be OK?

My extreme bias for SPS would probably give you 'rare' status for the next 3 swaps if you put in the orange monti

Actually I want more then 5-10 picks if you want to put it that way. How about I pick until I am to tired?
Seriously, I will let you know when I am giving up the monti.
