Bringing the Ocean Home: Pacific Reefs' 375g

James I can't see the photo. Hey I heard there is a lot of wildlife over where you are at

Sorry, due to my "user agreement" Reef Central will not reply to your comments. You have a lot of time on your hands finding pics like that!

Today is my birthday so I'm taking a little time off the tank. Should have some updates this weekend. Thanks for the motivation though :)

my favorite picture , is the old corner tank, with the very rare and hard to find LE Butt coral! sitting in front on the sand! you still have that beautiful showpiece tom?

Hey Ted don't be jealous that I bought that piece before you could get it. It is a limited editon Tyree specimen. :lmao:
Even though it's brown and plain I still like it.

I like the Puffer keep up the good work.

Thanks. He has been attacking the hermits lately. I haven't had him on a regular feeding schedule in a while. There are a bunch of empty shells in the tank now.

P-diddy is an excellent name for a puffer if I do say so myself. I laughed out loud when I read that.

Yeah the Mrs. came up with the name. Actually she picked the fish out. I wouldn't have a 375g if it wasn't for P-Diddy.

Maybe I should start showing my wife porcupine puffers...

Well that's about as involved as she gets unless she has company over then she talks about the tank. Other than that we don't discuss it. I showed her the AquaController that I wanted for Christmas and that didn't go over so well.

I am almost done with the Closed Loop. I just have to pick up some more piping to finish the other 2 outlets

A little setback. I used too much teflon tape and over tightened the return section on the ORCA pump. I heard a loud crack and screamed some 4 letter words. I got on the phone with Chris from Reeflo and have a new one on the way. It won't be here until after Christmas.

Here is the ORCA with the volute off.

Well I'm glad it's a part that can be easily replaced. I was able to finish the closed loop and I ordered some gate valves for the herbie drain system. I also added 80lbs of sand to finish off the sand bed. I still haven't figured out if I am going to make a fuge section in the sump. Should I add a fuge or not?
