Bristle worm - how big is too big?

I found a bristle worm in my tank that's about 3" long. Do they become dangerous for a tank at a certain length? I've seen some threads about people removing really large worms and I just wanted to make sure it's ok in my tank. Thanks!

Three feet---that's a problem. My 10"-ers were perfectly well behaved, I lost them in a move, and I really miss them. They kept the rocks very clean.

Bristleworms that big (a foot) would only happen if you overfed for an extremely long time. In that scenario, big bristleworms wouldn't be your worst problem.

I'll disagree with this comment, they'll grow big eventually. Now if their growing a foot per month, than yeah, maybe you're overfeeding a tad.

As for when they become a problem....I'd say when you look at them and get uneasy about having one in your tank. Maybe remove em then, otherwise their not that bad.
