Bristleworm or fireworm?

Which one is it? I just pulled it out. About 4-5 inches long.

it looks like a bristle worm. fire worms are also some types of bristle worms. i think there's only one type of fire worm that eats sps and gorgonians, and it is very rare to see them in our reef tanks.

It didn't look like the bristel worms I have. Mine have bristles on there sides. That one looks like spikes on the sides. I'm not convinced that's a bristle worm.

i believe the "spikes" are just wet bristles clumped together

Looks like a Bristle worm to me.

yea it's out of water so it looks a little more spikey. i just wanted to make 100% sure. i have a ton more of those things in my tank and just wanted to take out the bigger ones...

i removed 3 other ones that ranged 6-8 inches long. i should've taken pictures of those.

You don't need to take them out unless they are a nuisance to something. They are beneficial for your tank.
