How to control LARGE Bristleworms...Just looking for advice on getting rid of them...I had a wrasse in my reef tank but the tank came down with ick so I pulled all the fish to treat them and wait the ick out for 4 weeks. Now that my sixline wrasse isn't in the tank i've been finding some REALLY LARGE BristleWorms. Some are easily over a foot, Most are maybe a couple of inches. Just wondering if I can add something along with my sixline that can handle the big guys...My sixline is about 1 1/2 inches so I'm pretty sure he cant handle the huge ones that are probably creating the rest of the fleet. I know some are helpful but not when they get large enough to eat my fish...Thanks for any and all help.

First off they will not eat your fish unless they are dead. Bristleworms are good scavengers. Also the best way to control them is to not overfeed your tank. There are bristleworm traps that can be used quickly, easily, and effective.

I was wondering if I should remove them or not. The totally gross me out. I got a trap but the ones I'm seeing are huge. I guess they can stay if they are benifical. They just give me the creeps.
