Hi everyone...

I'm about to embark on a new aquarium build. I ordered a Deep Sea Aquatics 190 Pro tank and stand. The Tank measures 60.5" x 27.5" x 27.5", center overflow, the stand is cherry and will be in my home office.

Still waiting on the tank and stand to arrive (hopefully in the next couple weeks) I ordered it in July.

Some of the equipment I'll be using on this build is as follows...

- LifeReef VS3-48 Skimmer (It's 4 Feet tall :D )
- ATI PowerModule T5 60" (8 x 80 Watts)
- (2) 1" SeaSwirls for the returns
- (2) Tunze Turbelle 6105
- GEO618 Calcium Reactor
- Apex Controller (with 2 x pH and Cond Probe)
- (2) 40W UV Sterilizers ( I know, this might be overkill )
- Skimz Media reactor for Carbon and Phosguard ( Im not a fan of GFO )
- (2) 300W Jager heaters (For redundancy)

On Order, but not quite shipping yet
- EcoTech DC Pump for the return
- Custom LifeReef LF300 (Due December timeframe)

Future Add
- Use one of my old systems as a display refugium ( I have a 57 Rimless and 93 Cube i might use... I keep going back and forth on which one to incorporate in to this build)

My plan for this aquarium is a mixed reef with natural "old skool" <-- yes I meant to spell it that way  ... methodology (no Zeovit, Bio Pellets, etc..) to be mostly SPS with LPS and a few softies.

As soon as the new tank comes in, I will post some pictures as this tank becomes a reality. I'm looking forward to sharing my progress on this build with the Reef Central Community.

Nice tank! I have the same one and I love it. Mine is about 7 months old now. I'm looking forward to following your build

Was just checking out your tank on one of your posts... very nice! your corals are huge!

For livestock, I want to do a powder blue tang, purple tang, and hippocanthus tang... maybe even a schoal of yellow tangs

I noticed that you have both a navarcus and a regal angel... both a couple of my favorites... how are they in your reef? Do they nip at Corals? I would really like to add either a Queen Angel or Blue Face angel but I'm hesitant because of both the size of our tanks and if they would nip at corals.

Finally, I am also looking at adding anthias. How often do you feed your tank? I read that Anthias eat 3-4 time a day?

Thank you for the compliment broadwave, much appreciated. You've got a very nice stock list planned for this tank. I have a bunch of angels in my tank and I think the only nipper I have is my golden angel, who is too small to do any damage. I've never seen my regal or majestic nip at anything other than the rocks. Ive been very tempted to get a juvi blue face. They are beautiful

Sorry, but a blue face will definitely chew through your tank. They're beautiful fish, though.

When in July did you order? I ordered on july 22 and i dont think mine has event been put on the truck yet. I did add some custom changes to the canopy so that could be why mine is taking longer.

Beginning of July and only went with a stand, no canopy. Tank arrived today at the LFS so Ill be picking it up first thing in the morning.

Well... got the tank to my house today from the LFS... wow this tank is freaking heavy!!!!

Here it is in my home basement office where it will reside... its where i spend the most time anyway, so made sense to put in here and keeps the mrs happy too. The pictures do not do it justice... this tank is much larger in person than in the photos.

The first is just the tank, the second with the T5's lights on and the last is the 75 gallon that this tank is replacing
