Broke one of my corals

I was trying to attach a plating montipora to my rock work last night and broke off a section of one of my SPS corals. I must have bumped it and it broke off. I would assume that this won't hurt anything and would be considered an "accidental fragging event"? :lol:

It's this coral, if it matters:



It looks different now since I moved it up to higher lighting and it lightened up in color.

On a side note, does anyone know what it is?

Looks like Acropora Valida to me.

If conditions are right you should have no issues. I accidentally frag mine all the time.

I break tips on accident all the time. I just glue them to a little rock or frag plug and let them grow
