Broken 9010?

Roger,
I got my 9010 today. Hooked it up following directions. I put it in the sump and turned on. No bubbles. I noticed some air hose coming up from the base of the unit

Is this normal?
Figured it was not. Looked down into the unit and pump was not straight. I opened the bottom and the pump basically slid out easily. Looking up from the bottom something looks broken.

Where does the air hose connect and is the pump supposed to be connected to that piece that looks broken?

Ok. I attempted to piece it back together. Hose into the hole on the side of what appears to be broken. And then the pump output I guess is supposed to line up(insert) with the hole on top of what appears to be broken. Now I get air bubbles( and foam) but no water out of the return pipe. Is that because the pump isn't snug in that hole or something else?
Water line in sump is 1 inch below blue line on the skimmer.

The piece you show in the pipe is supposed to be glued to the end of the pump, looks like they didn't use enough glue, it is a solvent weld type glue. PM me an address and I will send you a new 0235.130- what is referred to as the suction housing. The piece in the pipe is actually two pieces and you will need to keep the outer shell piece with the hole in it that the airline inserts into. Refer to the parts diagram for details as the two pieces fit so well they look like one. The part you need to keep is 3130.16.

As for the lack of water exiting the pipe, likely a piece isn't fitted properly but it is probably hard to line things up the way they are.
